Project Overview
MEC NT delivered the subdivision package for Lee Point/Muirhead Stage 1A in Darwin NT. The scope covered supply and installation of HV/LV, street lighting and NBN Civil infrastructure for a new 120 lot subdivision. The Infrastructure connected into existing networks and extended new gifted asset for the network provider.
Challenge
Civil infrastructure works coordinating with other inground services. Coordinating smart controller IDs with Council while keeping drawings current, maintaining quality records for HV cable installations, and compiling a complete, compliant handover set to utility and regulatory standards.
Solution
- Supply and install 3 x 11KV 500KVA package substations.
- 11KV Ring main unit for future HV infrastructure
- LV cabling and pillars for supply to each lot.
- Supplied and installed LED street‑lighting assets (luminaires, poles, switchpacks, foundations) to design.
- Finalised Telecell controller IDs and integrated them into documentation.
- Captured QA evidence for HV cable pulls and winch tension readings.
- Issued a consolidated as‑constructed set and handover package, alongside PWC connection applications and compliance certificates.
Results
- Subdivision lighting delivered with full QA traceability and compliant documentation.
- Smart‑controller IDs established, enabling asset registration and operational readiness.
- Procurement completed to specification, supporting schedule and performance objectives.
